After announcing that it hit 140 targets amid the US and Iran’s latest outbreak of strikes over Strait of Hormuz control, the US Central Command launched another round of attacks at President Trump’s direction.

“At 5 p.m. ET today, U.S. Central Command forces began launching more strikes against Iran to continue degrading their ability to attack civilian mariners and commercial ships freely transiting the Strait of Hormuz,” US Centcom said in a post on X.

According to Capt. Tim Hawkins, a CENTCOM spokesperson, Iran’s IRGC fired at commercial shipping in the critical waterway. Meanwhile, US aircraft shot down an Iranian cruise missile and a one-way attack drone.
