Gold Ingots in Witchspire are needed for various crafting recipes and upgrades, and more notably, they’re needed to upgrade your Hearth to Level 6, which will allow you access to even more things in your Luminary. That said, Gold Ore can be pretty tricky to find, and you’ll need to unlock the recipe before you can smelt it into Gold Ingots.
To help you do just that, here’s how to get Gold Ingots in Witchspire.
How to get Gold Ingots in Witchspire
To get Gold Ingots in Witchspire, you need to combine Gold Ore with Charcoal at a Furnace. First however, you’re going to need to locate Gold Ore and craft the Refined Witch’s Pickaxe which will allow you to mine it. I will run through how to do all of this below!
1. Acquire Mining Level 10 and Hearth Level 4.
First, you need to make sure that you have Hearth Level 4 and Mining Level 10 at minimum. Once that’s done, you can unlock the recipe for the Refined Witch’s Pickaxe and Gold/Silver Ingots on the right-hand side of your Luminary (see below). The Gold/Silver Ingots recipes are the node directly above the Refined Witch’s Pickaxe recipe.
2. Craft the Refined Witch’s Pickaxe.
With those unlocked, craft the Refined Witch’s Pickaxe at your Workbench using the following:
- 5x Iron Ingots
- 10x Froblin Goo – dropped by Froblins.
- 10x Carapace – dropped by Specla.
- 3x Gemstone – dropped when mining.
Now, you’re ready to seek out some Gold Ore locations and start mining!
Witchspire Gold Ore locations
In my experience, Gold Ore is quite hard to come by, but there are a few reliable spots where you can farm it in Witchspire.
The first is along the beach in Mira Isles where the Dark Comet spawns during the Level 15 Main Quest – Corruption, which I’ve labeled on the below map. Here, there’s an abundance of Gold Ore to mine.
Another place in which I less reliably found some Gold Ore deposits was around R’hyrrgar’s Peak, which is in Eastell (the eastmost point of Mira Isles). From R’hyrrgar himself, keep ascending the mountain here and you should run into some Gold Ore along the way (shown below).
These two locations should provide more than enough Gold Ore for your needs for now. Once you’ve lined your pockets with plenty of the stuff, return to your Furnace where you’ll need to smelt one Charcoal and two Gold Ore to receive one Gold Ingot.
