TSX- and ASX-listed gold, copper and silver producer DPM Metals has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.04 apiece after achieving record free cashflow generation of $227-million in the three months ended June 30.
The company reported record adjusted earnings of $211-million, or $0.95 apiece, and record net earnings of $230-million, or $1.04 apiece, in the quarter under review.
Having produced 102 690 gold-equivalent ounces (GEOs) in the quarter, and 186 732 GEOs in the six months ended June 30, the company is on track to meet its full-year guidance of between 305 000 and 365 000 GEOs.
DPM has mines and projects in Bulgaria, Bosnia, Serbia and Ecuador, which produce silver, copper, zinc and lead.
The company returned $91.2-million to shareholders during the first half of 2026 through dividends paid and shares repurchased, including $57.6-million in the second quarter, representing 25% of free cashflow. DPM ended the quarter with $761-million of cash and cash equivalents on hand, as well as an undrawn $400-million credit facility.
“DPM generated exceptional financial results in the second quarter, including record free cashflow, as a result of a strong operating performance and the benefit of higher metals prices. With a strong performance having been achieved in the first half of the year, we are well positioned to achieve our production guidance for the twelfth consecutive year,” says president and CEO David Rae.
Commenting on the group’s growth projects, Rae confirms that the Vareš mine and plant is on track achieve a 850 000 t/y run-rate by the end of the year. Development rates are already exceeding 400 m a month and DPM processed 48% more ore in the second quarter of the year, compared with the first quarter.
In the quarter under review, DPM announced a high-grade discovery it calls Brevene South Porphyry, which marks the company’s fourth significant discovery made since 2023.
Together with the prior discoveries – Čoka Rakita, Dumitru Potok and the Wedge Zone – the company’s exploration success is transforming its future growth outlook, which Rae confirms is fully funded and generating significant value for shareholders.
DPM expects to complete an initial mineral resource estimate for the Wedge Zone target by the end of the year while a 20 000 m drill programme was recently started on Dumitru Potok.
Permitting continues to advance at Čoka Rakita, in support of targeted start-up of mine construction early next year.
