Brent and WTI crude oil prices fell sharply after Trump’s de-escalation talks with Iran

Brent and WTI crude future prices crashed up to 10 per cent as soon as US President Donald Trump announced that the military strikes on Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure would be postponed for five days following “very good and productive” talks with Iran.

Brent futures dropped to $98 per barrel with a drop of over 10 per cent on Monday. However, it rose again to $104 per barrel level.  WTF crude oil futures fell to $91 per barrel.

Before the announcement, Brent crude futures were hovering around $112 per barrel level.
