Enlight Metals, a Pune-based metal procurement platform, has launched a Multi-AI Agent Procurement Platform designed to help manufacturing and steel companies automate procurement workflows, improve supply chain visibility and speed up business decision-making.
The platform uses multiple artificial intelligence (AI) agents assigned to different business functions, including procurement, inventory, logistics, finance, sales and customer support. Instead of functioning independently, the AI agents collaborate to provide real-time information, automate routine tasks and streamline operations across the supply chain.
The launch comes as manufacturers increasingly adopt AI to improve operational efficiency while addressing challenges such as fragmented workflows, manual coordination and delayed decision-making.
Dhananjay Goel, Managing Director of Enlight Metals, said manufacturers need AI systems that can support end-to-end business processes rather than operate as standalone assistants. “Manufacturing businesses today need AI that goes beyond answering questions. According to the company, industrial businesses often rely on disconnected systems across procurement, inventory, logistics and finance, requiring multiple manual interactions before responding to customer requests.
The new platform is designed to address those inefficiencies by enabling AI agents to work together across departments. For example, when a customer requests a specific steel grade, the platform can simultaneously check inventory levels, procurement schedules, logistics availability and pricing before generating a response.
Rather than replacing existing enterprise software, the platform integrates with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms, inventory management, procurement, logistics and order management applications, allowing organizations to use AI alongside their existing technology infrastructure.
Manufacturing companies are increasingly exploring agentic AI to automate repetitive processes and improve coordination across supply chains. Unlike conventional AI assistants that respond to individual prompts, agentic AI systems can coordinate multiple AI agents to execute tasks across different business functions with limited human intervention.
Founded in 2024, the Pune-headquartered platform connects Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and infrastructure companies with verified metal suppliers across industries including automotive, railways, renewable energy, heavy engineering and construction. The company said it currently serves more than 500 OEMs across Maharashtra and other parts of India.
The launch reflects the growing adoption of AI-powered procurement and supply chain platforms as manufacturers seek to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual processes and gain better visibility across complex industrial operations.
