Kalahari, which was built in 2009, arrived yesterday evening at 8.51pm from Fawley in Hampshire.
The Class A crude oil tanker sails under the flag of Liberia. Her length overall (LOA) is 250 metres and her width is 43.99 metres.
She has an average speed of 8.9 knots, a maximum speed of 13.4 knots and a gross tonnage of 62,775.
Kalahari was built at New Times Shipbuilding in Jiangsu, China. Up until the year 2013 she was known as Northern Spirit.
It is understood that she sails all over the world. According to the website myshiptracking.com, she came from the port of Corpus Christi in the US to Fawley, leaving America on October 18.
She is alongside oil/chemical tanker Monjasa Provider, which has previously been sighted in the bay.
Monjasa Provider, which was built in 2005, is 96m long and 14m wide.
