Torque Metals has reported the deepest gold intercept to date at its HHH deposit as it tests resource-growth opportunities across the Ritz gold project.
Recent diamond and reverse circulation drilling across multiple lodes at the HHH deposit returned high-grade assays. Diamond drilling returned 8.9m at 17.50g/t gold from 344m in hole 26HRCDD151, including 3m at 28.40g/t. It is the deepest gold intercept recorded at the gold project so far, with updated down-hole electromagnetic modelling (DHEM) confirming the intercept is associated with a large-scale mineralised structure, according to Torque Metals. Other high-grade assays included 2.0m at 7.57g/t Au from 148m.
“These results continue to reinforce the significant growth potential we see across the Ritz Gold Project. At HHH, we have intersected high-grade gold across multiple lodes, and we continue to successfully deploy DHEM to help build our understanding of the structures that control the mineralisation, giving us an increasingly strong platform for targeted follow-up drilling,” Torque Metals managing director and chief executive officer Craig Jones said.
In addition, Torque Metals has undertaken the first RC drilling at its Observation deposit since the 2024 mineral resource estimate (MRE). The drilling returned 3m at 4.06g/t gold from 81m, 4m at 3.49g/t from 67m and 3m at 8.82g/t from 151m.
The 3m at 8.82g/t result was recorded outside the current Observation resource, while the other two intersections were within its boundaries.
“Importantly, opportunities to drive growth and make new discoveries are beginning to open up right across the Ritz project,” Jones said.
“Our first drilling at Observation since the 2024 MRE update has returned multiple high-grade intercepts, while initial results from regional reconnaissance drilling at Maynards have confirmed gold mineralisation within an area that has seen comparatively little modern exploration.”
Two rigs are operating at Ritz, with drilling continuing at HHH and Observation and an RC program underway at Strauss. Torque is also testing regional targets across the broader South Kalgoorlie gold camp. The Ritz project has a mineral resource of 351,000oz at 3.1g/t gold across the Paris, HHH and Observation deposits.
