Libya’s Sirte Oil Company and BACB agreed to improve cooperation (BACB).

Sirte Oil Production and Manufacturing Company successfully completed operational trials of the metering station last Sunday. This marks the first phase of the project to supply the Sirte Steam Power Plant with natural gas, replacing liquid fuels.

This phase will be followed by the filling of the branch pipeline and the pressure reduction station, paving the way for supplying the production units at the Sirte Steam Power Plant with natural gas.

The remaining operational trials are expected to be completed, and gas supplies to the plant will commence within the next few days. This will contribute to increasing the plant’s operational efficiency, reducing reliance on liquid fuels, and achieving economic and environmental benefits, in line with the National Oil Corporation’s strategy to support the electricity sector and promote the utilization of natural gas.
