London-based hedge fund Capula Investment Management has launched a commodities trading fund focused on raw materials.
The Capula Alternative Markets Alpa Fund is looking to raise between $2 and $3 billion in investor capital.
The fund launch represents a departure of sorts for Capula, which manages more than $35 billion in assets.
The hedge fund typically invests in the bond and currency markets.
The fund will be overseen by Yao Hua Ooi who joined the firm in 2022 from AQR Capital Management.
