The Meeka Metals Ltd (ASX: MEK) share price is in focus after the company completed its acquisition of the Blue Vein, Bushpig, and Razorback gold deposits near Mt Holland, Western Australia. This move adds a significant gold exploration and growth pipeline with a combined tenement area of 71km² and strong historical results, aligning with Meeka’s growth strategy.

What else do investors need to know?
The Mt Holland area is a well-known gold province that produced around 1.2 million ounces of gold at 5.12g/t before 2001, mostly from the Bounty gold mine (not part of this acquisition). Despite its rich history, the newly acquired tenements have seen little modern gold-specific exploration, raising hopes for further discoveries.
Meeka has already completed much of the work to update historical drilling data to current JORC 2012 standards, and expects to release updated mineral resource figures in the coming months. The company will also begin drilling down-plunge extensional holes at Blue Vein from January 2027.
Managing Director Tim Davidson said:
Having historically produced ~1.2Moz of gold, this fertile Archaean greenstone belt presents a compelling growth opportunity for us. The belt has received very little modern exploration for gold over the past 15 years despite significant past production and strong evidence there is more gold to be found. We intend to systematically drill test the ~24km of north-south striking, gold-hosting BIF units within the acquired tenure over the next 12-18 months.
Over the next 12-18 months, Meeka Metals plans to systematically drill its new tenure, focusing on extensions and resource growth at each deposit. An updated JORC 2012-compliant mineral resource estimate is expected by October 2026, followed by further drilling in 2027.
The company’s strategy centres on discovering and developing gold projects in proven districts. With granted mining leases and underexplored ground, Meeka aims to grow its gold resources and progress development options in the Forrestania greenstone belt.
Over the past 12 months, Meeka Metals shares have declined 29%, trailing the All Ordinaries Index (ASX: XAO), which has risen 1% over the same period.
