Interactive Brokers reported adjusted earnings per share of $0.67 for the third quarter of 2026, missing consensus expectations and snapping five consecutive quarters of EPS beats. The near-miss arrives after a run of positive surprises that set a high bar for the stock.

Revenue came in at $1.91 billion, beating the estimate, driven largely by net interest income on surging customer margin loans. Commission revenue also rose, supported by higher daily average revenue trades.

Customer accounts expanded 35% year-over-year to 5.58 million, and customer equity rose as well. The platform is pulling in new users at a pace that sustains revenue momentum even when trading volumes stay uneven.

The board raised the quarterly dividend 71% to $0.15 per share, payable December 14, 2026. That increase is a deliberate statement of confidence in the company’s cash generation, and it lands on the same day the EPS streak ended.

Revenue fell 31.4% from the year-ago period, while net interest margin compressed and stock trading volume declined. Track those headwinds alongside the client growth numbers to judge how durable the revenue beat is.
