In a new turn of events following the Central Board of Secondary Education’s (CBSE) Class 12 verification and re-evaluation process for 2026, a student has finally received his correct answer sheet after the board admitted to an error. However, the student alleges that the road to justice was filled with severe “mental harassment” and baseless accusations.

The controversy began when Vedant, a CBSE Class 12 student, raised serious concerns over the board’s re-evaluation process, claiming the Physics answer sheet uploaded under his roll number did not belong to him. After comparing the handwriting and answers, he demanded an urgent investigation into the alleged mismatch.

While many students are currently scrutinizing photocopies of their answer sheets due to complaints about low marks and the new On-Screen Marking (OSM) system, Vedant’s case took a hostile turn on social media.

From ‘Antinational’ to Vindicated

After initially sharing his grievance on X, Vedant received massive support but also faced a wave of hostility.

In a new series of posts, Vedant confirmed that CBSE officials intervened to resolve the issue.

“We have got my correct answer sheet by CBSE,” Vedant posted on X. “CBSE officials reached out to us in the evening (May 25) and have sent my answer sheet. We were correct on our claims and the answer sheet indeed got exchanged.”

The student expressed gratitude toward his supporters while condemning those who attacked his character.

“Thanks to the people who supported us in these tough times and we faced so much mental harassment because of this,” he wrote. “People called us antinational and Pakistani just because we raised a genuine concern and at the end Truth has prevailed.”

Demand for a Broader Investigation

Despite receiving the correct answer sheet, Vedant has refused to let the matter drop. He is now urging the board to investigate whether other students are suffering in silence from similar clerical errors.

“I urge CBSE to look into this answer sheet exchange issue more clearly and deeply for all the other students who are facing this same issue as me,” he stated.

Furthermore, Vedant indicated that he is not entirely satisfied with the marking on the newly received document. He shared screenshots of the correct answer sheet but noted discrepancies in scoring.

“Attaching the correct answer sheets screenshots here for your reference, we will still apply for reevaluation of this answer sheet after checking this sheet more closely since they have slashed my marks even when the answer is correct,” he added.

Context of the CBSE 2026 Re-evaluation
