The official X account of Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) was hacked in the early hours of Monday (October 19, 2026), with multiple posts promoting a cryptocurrency-related rewards programme appearing on its timeline.

At around 1.30 a.m., the airport’s X handle, ‘@RGIAHyd’, published posts promoting ‘StonkFun Season 1’, an eligibility checker linked to the Stonk App and the Solana cryptocurrency ecosystem. The posts tagged several social media accounts and featured an image promoting the programme. The posts described StonkFun as an activity-based rewards programme and urged users to check their eligibility, stating that the checker would remain open for only one day.

GMR Hyderabad International Airport authorities have initiated steps to remove the posts, recover control of the account and file a cybercrime complaint with the police. Although no official statement has been issued on the incident, airport authorities confirmed that efforts were under way to take down the posts and regain access to the account.
