Binance announced late Thursday night that all deposits and withdrawals have been temporarily suspended. According to the platform, the total amount of frozen funds amounted to $2.54 billion. This figure could rise further.

The company posted contradictory messages on Platform X, first assuring customers that all funds deposited on its website were “absolutely safe,” only to announce shortly afterward that it would cover “all losses.”

Neither the company nor any other official source commented on the possible cause of this cyberattack.
