The Ministry of Oil and Gas announced that the total value of royalties and taxes collected from concession and participation contract companies during January 2026 amounted to LYD 1,947,725,346.002.
According to the published statement, the revenues were distributed across several items, especially taxes and royalties, in addition to surface rentals, while no revenues were recorded from natural gas during the same period.
The ministry clarified that surface rentals amounted to LYD 714,346.402, royalties totaled LYD 127,731,131.644, and taxes reached LYD 1,819,279,957.956.
Regarding crude oil, and gas: crude oil accounted for the largest share of the revenues, with royalties from crude oil amounting to LYD 107,949,932.731 and taxes from crude oil totaling LYD 1,086,926,677.424, while natural gas revenues recorded zero collections in January.
