- Gold and silver prices increased Monday due to firm demand.
- MCX gold futures rose 0.79% from fresh positions created.
- Overseas gold futures also climbed 0.99% reaching $4,648.78 per ounce.
Gold Silver Rate Today: Gold and silver prices moved higher on Monday, with gold gaining in futures trade as fresh positions were created amid firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold contracts for October delivery rose Rs 1,283, or 0.79 per cent, to Rs 1,63,721 per 10 grams. The contract recorded a business turnover of 3,424 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in precious metal prices to the creation of fresh positions by market participants, supported by firm demand in the spot market.
In overseas markets, gold futures also advanced, rising 0.99 per cent to $4,648.78 per ounce in New York.
