Blackwattle Investments Partners, the two-year-old asset management firm backed by some of the country’s wealthiest families, has snapped up a veteran team to launch its first equity income fund.
The investors – Rudi Minbatiwala, Jason Moodie, and Marlon Chan – have joined from First Sentier Investors, which announced last year that it was closing down four of its local teams, including those overseeing Australian fixed income, global credit, equity income and emerging companies.
