JMG Group’s latest strategic acquisition has brought Solihull-based Boston Insurance Brokers into its growing national portfolio.
The move reportedly strengthens Yorkshire-headquartered JMG’s presence in the Midlands and adds specialist expertise in the construction sector and general commercial insurance market.
Founded in 1994 by Gerry Boston and now led by his son Rob Boston, Boston Insurance Brokers has built a strong reputation for client service and sector-specific knowledge. The firm brings a team of experienced professionals to JMG, along with deep-rooted relationships and insight into the construction industry in addition to an established book of commercial business.
Nick Houghton, CEO of JMG Group, said: “Boston Insurance Brokers is a fantastic addition to the JMG family. Their specialist knowledge, particularly in construction, complements our existing capabilities and aligns with our strategy to grow through quality partnerships. We’re excited to welcome Rob and the team and look forward to supporting their continued success.”
Rob Boston, MD of Boston Insurance Brokers, added: “Being part of JMG allows us to grow and develop in a manner which was not previously possible whilst crucially retaining key elements that made the Company successful in the first place, namely our company brand, experienced staff and office location. We are proud of what we’ve built in Solihull and look forward to leveraging JMG’s resources and network to deliver even greater value and service to our clients.”
A statement from JMG said this acquisition reflects the group’s ongoing commitment to expanding its national footprint through partnerships with high-performing regional firms.
The transaction was advised and supported by Jerroms, with Chasz Coulsting, head of corporate finance and Ross Davis, senior associate at Jerroms Corporate Finance, leading the advisory process.
Sell side legal advice was provided by Browne Jacobson and buy side by Gordons LLP.
