Self-employed broker agency Harding Green has acquired the assets of rival The London Broker and promised to “supercharge the broker model”.
The Kensington-based estate agency, which uses the broker agent model to operate its business, is keen to stress this “a business asset purchase”.
It is not a purchase of the former limited company, the firm says, and each broker will retain autonomy.
Enhancements
The new platform will continue to operate under The London Broker’s brand, with “significant enhancements now being introduced to strengthen the support available to agents”.
Brokers will benefit from an upgraded platform that includes automated marketing, expanded prospecting tools, AML and compliance management, lettings support, client accounting, PR, and an integrated cross-referral network.
Equity scheme
A new equity scheme will also be introduced to enable agents to share in the long-term value created, Harding Green says.
In February, The Neg reported that Harding Green’s 40-plus brokers collectively owned a quarter of the company.
This is an important moment for independent agency and brokerage in the United Kingdom.”
Nick Carter, CEO at Harding Green (main picture, centre), says: “This move represents the beginning of a much larger vision. We have put a clear plan in place, and the full scale of what we are building will become increasingly evident over the course of next year.
“This is an important moment for independent agency and brokerage in the United Kingdom, and we have significant ambitions to create something that will move the industry forward.”
Dedicated platform
Rupert Collingwood, Founder of The London Broker (main picture, right), says: “As we began discussing the future direction of The London Broker, it became clear that aligning the business with the operational infrastructure Nick has developed would provide a strong foundation for its continued growth and evolution.
“Through our new structure, they [brokers] will now benefit from a dedicated operational platform designed to support their success.”
