Barclays PLC sells 598 UniFirst Co. shares (NYSE:UNF)

The most recent disclosure that Barclays PLC made with the SEC indicated that the company’s ownership stake in UniFirst Co (NYSE: UNF) was reduced by 7.4% during the third quarter.

The fund ended the period with 7,485 shares of the textile manufacturer’s stock despite selling 598 shares.

The most recent disclosure that Barclays PLC made with the SEC indicated that the value of the company’s shares in UniFirst was $1,259,000.

Recently, several prominent investors have altered the interests they currently hold in the company due to recent transactions.

In the first quarter of 2018, Vanguard Group INC increased the amount of UniFirst stock owned by 1.5 percent. Vanguard Group INC now has a total of 1,646,430 shares of the textile manufacturer’s stock, which has a value of $303,404.00, after making an additional purchase of 23,741 shares during the period in question.

This brings the company’s total number of shares to 1,646,430.

During the first three months of 2018, Dimensional Fund Advisors LP bought an additional 2.8% of UniFirst’s shares, bringing the total number of shares it owned in the company to 245.8.

As a result of the purchase of an additional 15,921 shares during the period, Dimensional Fund Advisors LP now owns a total of 574,746 shares of the textile manufacturer’s stock.

Based on the current market price, this gives the firm a value of $105,913,000.

During the second quarter, State Street Corporation completed a 2.0 percentage point increase in the amount of UniFirst stock that it owned. State Street Corp. now owns a total of 556,940 shares of the textile manufacturer’s stock after purchasing an additional 10,881 shares during the most recent period.

The stock is currently valued at $95,894,000.

During the second quarter, JPMorgan Chase & Co increased the amount of UniFirst stock owned by 0.5 percent, bringing its total ownership to 99.5 percent. JPMorgan Chase & Co now has 502,594 shares of the textile manufacturer’s stock after purchasing an additional 2,318 shares during the most recent period.

The stock is estimated to be worth $86,537,000, and JPMorgan Chase & Co now owns all of these shares.

The final but certainly not the least bit of news is that during the second quarter, Macquarie Group Ltd increased its holdings in UniFirst by 0.6%.

This is not to say that this is the least important piece of news.

Macquarie Group Ltd now has a total of 471,535 shares worth a combined total of $81,189,00 because the company purchased additional shares during the relevant period and added those shares to its holdings.

At the moment, institutions hold ownership of 77.73 percent of the total company stock.
