MILLION Pound Pawn has proved a big hit for ITV with its tale of high end pawnbroking – but some viewers aren’t happy about one fine detail.

And Million Pound Pawn lifts the lid on the fascinating and fast-moving business where no two days are ever the same.

On Thursday night, the new series kicked off on ITV and with it came millionaire pawnbroker and antiques dealer, Anthony Barnes.

Anthony opened Marbella’s first ever pawnbrokers in the 1980’s.

Called Anthony’s Diamonds, the shop is jewellers, a pawnbroker and an antiques shop, specialising in art deco figures.

With sons Harrison and Thomas, he has built an eclectic client base of movie stars and wealthy locals.

His reputation for buying, selling and loaning against almost anything has seen him involved in some mega deals.

During last night’s episode, his son Harrison met expat model Adam, who was hoping his prized Rolex might fund a deposit on his dream property.

But viewers were soon left fuming after some claimed he was being fleeced out of his particular timepiece.

Taking to Twitter, one person penned: “They just said that the price of watches have shot through the roof, but Rolex’s haven’t. Con artists.”

Echoing their comments, someone else said: “I don’t trust any of these pawnbrokers. How can they try and devalue a Rolex? Leaches!”

While a third remarked: “They’re ripping everyone off on this show. Hard to watch.”
