The UK economy has seen slower-than-expected growth of 0.1% in the three months to September, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

The ONS said UK gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 0.1% between July and September, following a 0.3% increase between April and June.

The Chancellor Rachel Reeves is set to deliver her budget on November 26.

The figure is lower than what economists had expected, originally predicting 0.2% for the quarter, with expectations that September would show zero growth.
