Paradigm Mortgage Services has launched an artificial intelligence (AI) readiness scorecard tool for its mortgage broker member firms.
The tool, designed exclusively for member firms, helps brokers assess how prepared their business and marketing activity is for the rise of AI and large language models (LLMs), such as ChatGPT, and how efficiently businesses are using technology overall.
Completing the scorecard takes around five minutes. On completion, firms receive a personalised results page outlining their strengths, weaknesses, and recommendations to improve their efficiency, visibility, and readiness for AI-driven consumer behaviour.
The launch of the tool, created in partnership with The Yardstick Agency, follows the results of Paradigm Mortgage Services’ first national AI survey, which showed high levels of engagement with AI tools but a strong desire for further guidance, training and practical support.
Three-quarters of respondents understand how AI has evolved over the past 50 years, while just over 80% have used tools such as ChatGPT or Copilot in the last three months.
Only 45% understood the difference between open and closed data.

Richard Howes (pictured), director of mortgages at Paradigm Mortgage Services, said: “Our recent survey showed a real appetite for more practical support around AI usage. This exclusive, first-of-its-kind scorecard tool provides advisers with a simple way to understand where they currently stand. It is independent and will help firms identify where they can enhance their processes, marketing and technology use.”
